If you missed our first “Third Saturday Celebration” you missed a good one, with Joy Kelley supplying scads of Southwestern props and photographing folks who donned them, with San Felipe de Neri church as backdrop. Wonderful souvenirs.
This Third Saturday May 21 from to 10:30am – 1:30pm features Kay Richards, one of this month’s Featured Artists, demonstrating her painting skills. In addition, Ann Tidrow-Connoly, whose acrylic landscapes and critters grace our gallery walls, will preside over a “make and take ” bookmark event. What’s more…there may be other surprise appearances in store.
Don’t miss this one! Introduce your kids to some of the exciting possibilities of art, or come and enjoy this fun opportunity yourself. In Amapola Gallery’s beautiful patio, on the Plaza in Old Town.
After a lifetime batting words around like shuttlecocks in an endless game of badminton, it is a pleasure to use them to promote Old Town and my fellow artists at Amapola Gallery. –Kristin Parrott, carver, painter and acorn stuffer
