November 24 is more than just the day after the day after Thanksgiving. It’s Small Business Saturday, a day to shop local in support of the city’s little guys. And I’ve got the small business where you’ll experience shopping at a whole new level.
Amapola Gallery is a 40-member art and crafts co-operative, your own all-local all the time arts and crafts fair–and with no entry fee!
Our work includes wall art in watercolor, oils, collage and cut paper, mosaics, ink, glass and resin; assemblages; wooden boxes and turned wood vessels; fabric wearables and fabulous quilts both punch and traditional; painted gourds; functional glass and ceramics; photography and printmaking; stone and metal sculpture; and a delicious assortment of jewelry in pewter and precious metals and a variety of prices.
We are the go to, all in one location for handmade gifts.
Visit us on Small Business Saturday and then make it a habit. We are open 10 to 5 every day except Christmas and New Year’s.
Amapola Gallery, where you always meet the artists, is on the Plaza in Old Town, at 205 Romero N.W., above Yay! Yogurt in historic Romero House. (505) 242-4311 or amapolagallery.com.
