Patricia Oliver

I moved to New Mexico from Pennsylvania in 1991 and immediately became enchanted by the Southwest, traveling to see the beautiful mesas, rock formations, and volcanic areas whenever I had spare time. After a few years, I began experimenting with and then taking classes in pastels, which were perfect for expressing the colors of the southwest.

I am a new member of the Amapola Gallery and have been a member of the Pastel Society of New Mexico since 2002. My work has been shown in the Pastel Societyâ’s National show, the New Mexico State Fair Fine Arts shows, Johnsons Gallery in Madrid, and in the Saint Johnâ’s Cathedral shows, all in New Mexico.
