As an art gallery, Amapola Gallery is the largest artists cooperative in the state of New Mexico.

When writing about Amapola co-op Gallery, I often emphasize our combination of “locally handmade “with “affordable. ” It’s true. For unique birthday/sweetheart/promotion/holiday/hostess gifts we are unbeatable.

But “Gallery ” is in our name for a reason, and it’s worth mentioning.

Our artists also provide a great selection of high-end designer pieces for your walls, art pieces to complete the decor of any room in your home. Modern, Southwestern and everything in between.

Remember us when you’re redecorating and need that one stunning wall piece or a suite of art for your office. You can’t go wrong at Amapola Gallery, 205 Romero N.W., on the Plaza in Old Town, Albuquerque. Open daily 10-5.

Check our Facebook page where you will see a running connection of #artoftheday. We realized if we published only one piece of art each day we’d have material in the Gallery for years! Our #artoftheday theme honors one of our members each day.

I like to play with words almost as much as I love playing with paint, stone, ink … Lucky me to have a blog outlet with my gallery since 1980, Amapola artists’ co-op Gallery. -Kristin Parrott, carver, painter and acorn stuffer
