Some Of The Amazing Things You Can Find At Amapola Gallery

Amapola Gallery is an artists’ cooperative. Forty of us, New Mexicans all, contribute time, talent and monthly dues to keep our gallery going. And going we have been, since 1980–38 years of artistic excellence over four locations, all in Albuquerque’s Old Town.

Our members enter the gallery through an application and jury process, and by no means do all make the grade. Those that do may display the full range of their creativity, many working in a variety of mediums. Most of us are award winners, many impressively so.

Recently, jewelry artist Jack Boglioli won “United States Jewelry Designer of the Year” from London-based magazine LUX. This same review and research magazine also awarded him a Global Excellence award for “Best Luxury and Bespoke Online Jeweler.” Like many of us he accepts custom orders, and he maintains his own website.

But don’t think Jack Boglioli is Amapola Gallery’s only jeweler. Far from it. We showcase eleven jewellers, whose varied and imaginative work ranges from classic simplicity to everyday elegance, using precious metals, gemstones, copper, glass and gourds, and beadwork with and without elements handcrafted by the various artists.

As with our painters, glass, metal, wood, ceramic and fiber artists, we have enormous variety in the work of our jewellers. International pizzazz to local turquoise flair, we have it, and so can you!

Enjoy the works of jewellers Jack Boglioli, Brenda Bowman, Jeanette Easley, Joyance, Diana Kirkpatrick, Barbara Lewis, Carol Lutz, Michele McMillan, Debra Montoya, Sally Rugala and Pam Troutman.

At Amapola artists’ co-op Gallery we welcome you from 10 to 5, seven days a week, in historic Romero House, right on the Plaza in Old Town. We are all New Mexican, all the time. Come meet the artists and experience our creative expertise.
